Trying Something New,
Anyone who knows me will know that I tend to say the first thing that comes into my head, especially in pressure situations. I'm definitely a rambler! So when I was asked to speak briefly at a Project Trust presentation today at my college I was a little bit nervous. I think (think) it went okay, I followed Jen (a staff member at PT) and spoke a little bit about selection and my experiences of fundraising, got a few laughs which was reassuring. The only slightly cringy moment was when I chose to end with a slight jazz hands wave and ended up looking like a bit of a fun dad...not a good look! Hoping to give some talks for the charity when I get home from India so I need to brush up on my presenting skills!
I'm helping out on the Project Trust stall at Aston University on Friday, if anyone wants to come along and get some more information then I've attached the link below (http://www1.aston.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/schliaison/hec/). If you're thinking about a gap year then definitely come along.
Update in a couple of days about how the talks went and about awards evening tomorrow night!!
